Day 1 Monday - Arrival

Arrival in the Land of Pharaohs.

You will be met shortly after disembarkation at Cairo International airport, assisted through immigration and customs by our licensed English-speaking representative and transfered by private vechicle to Shepheard Hotel.

Day 2 Tuesday - Cairo & the Pyramids

First you will take a Pyramids tourmorning

visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which includes the world's largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen's tomb. Afterwards you will drive to Old Cairo where early Judaism & Christianity flourished and visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Islamic quarter & stroll the Great Citadel begun by Saladin and visit the Mohammed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.

In the afternoon you will be taken to visit  the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx, then proceed to Khan El Khalili, the world's largest 13th century covered Oriental bazaar. Your driver will then take you to the railway station.

Day 3 Wednesday - Nile Cruise

Unfinished obeliskEarly in the morning you will be met and assisted with a private transfer from the railway station to your Nile Cruise ship the M/S Mojito. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae, view of Kitchner's Island botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum by felucca. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu overnight.

Meals: Breakfast (on train), lunch and dinner

Day 4 Thursday - Nile Cruise

Upon arrival in Edfu you will travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board

Day 5 Friday - Luxor

Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.

Overnight in Luxor.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board

Day 6 Saturday - Luxor Disembarkation

LuxorAfter breakfast, visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks.

Disembarkation at 8.00AM
Balance of day at leisure.

Your luggage will be stored on board until such time as you are transferred to the railway station for departure back to Cairo.

Overnight aboard the 1st class Sleeper train From Luxor to Cairo
Meals: Breakfast on board and dinner on the train

Day 7 Sunday - Cairo

Breakfast prior to arrival at Cairo. You will be met and assisted to your private transfer from railway station to the Shepheard Hotel.

Overnight at the Shepheard Hotel in Cairo.

Day 8 Monday - Bonvoyage

After breakfast your private driver and escort will take you to the airport for your flight home.
